"In the last two years we have successfully implemented the Demand Management and Supply Network Optimizer modules on time, and under budget with Metachain. The two consultants involved provided excellent guidance and support, and with limited internal resources we were able to achieve excellent results very quickly. Since June 2006 Demand Management has provided consistent and accurate forecast to underpin the British Gypsum S&OP process, and SNO output have been used to produce the production and distribution budgets for the second year year in succession. Initial results gave us a 6% increase in yield on plasterboard production lines, and project an £800k saving on plaster distribution, through reduced interworks transfers and reductions in Plaster Plant to Post Code Area haulage costs."
